IMHO........ I prefer accuracy over power. I use the QB driver AND the Sniper wood. Both are shorter clubs with 100% accuracy. I got into some trouble advancing from tour 4 to 5. My clubs were lacking for a while and my win rate dropped about 10% before I recovered.
Now I'm into tour 6 with the QB at 7 and the Sniper at 5. The EM players do have an advantage on a couple of holes that I just cant reach if the wind is against me(I only use the basic ball). I can live with that because it doesn't happen near as often as shootouts do. I own the long shootouts in tour 6 against the EM or Bigdog with my accuracy. I would think I wont get away with advancing to tour 7 with these clubs, but so far so good. With 772 games played I'm holding steady at 71%
That's a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.
I'm not looking to gain, I'm looking to prove a point. If a player with 500 games is matched with a player with 5,000 games, who will have the advantage club wise?
And herein lies the true problem with the current matchmaking. Games played and cup count should have little value. IMHO clubs and win rate are the most important. Give me enough time and money and Im gonna open at least one chest after every match. Im gonna use a big ball every match. Im gonna win most of them. I think after 500 matches Im gonna have some monster clubs. So if I dropped all my cups from the lower tours and lurk at say tour 5, who would I play against? Lots of 1000+ with a poor win rate. Good players with 5000 games usually dont play tour 5.
In the real world my in game purchase is turned off and I always use the plain ball. I am at tour 5 with 600 matches, grinding away. I lost a lot of matches at the beginning of tour 5 til I clubbed up a little. My win rate is still pretty high(70%). Im more afraid of the guy with huge clubs, regardless of games played. Add a good win rate to those monster clubs and the odds say I lose.
Oh well. In the long run I think it evens out. Sometimes I feel bad for me,and sometimes for them. It can really swing. Ive matched up from 150 games played to over 10K in the last week.
So, matchmaking aside , my question for Teaspoon remains. If I started over, using his advancement formula, wont the daily 8pin chest still give me clubs im trying to avoid in tour 4-6 as they are unlocked? I probably wont do it but I was just wondering......
