And tour 8 is where wind adjustments start to not make a ton of sense. Almost every shootout just needs to be learned and the wind adjustments tossed out the window because it almost always moves more than the mph would indicate. Especially if you’re using the guardian. Tour 8 was always about making a wind adjustment and then adjusting more.

And keep in mind it isn’t a great shootout above but it shows what not to do, and that 3 yards is usually enough to win if you go first. They think they’ve got you, then go at the hole and lose. Just need to use a long iron you’re comfortable with so you don’t go long or short.

aaahhh interesting. Thanks sonic left spin could be the key to my problem.many thanks.

Watch Sonic video....exactly as described.
He had to adjust a little side spin because the wind is blowing right and its a heavy wind.
Use 3 bs. The 2nd player in that video didn't use enough BS and it went a little longer and drifted to the right down the slope.
The key on this hole is not try to get a HIO(I don't think I have yet) but consistentcy. Bouncing on the left is the most consistency even on a non-perfect shot. As I was saying earlier the problem is if you're using BB, the headwind you will have to improvise.

never thought of using left spin!!! That makes sense and is probably where I've been going wrong. Thanks for your help.

Yep, look at sonics video, I use goliath because if you get decent headwind, you are screwed. Ever since I have gone to that left valley area, I have shot the ball within 3.8 yds just about every-time. Left spin is key. Once in a blue moon I have gotten it quite close.

Alos, if you have good bit of headwind, don't use as much BS because the ball will roll back to the fringe, on occasion.

I use 4 backspin 3 left for tailwind, 2 backspin 3 left for headwind and 3 backspin 3 left for crosswind.

Curl to counter winds.

+20% wind.

That's money right there.

On tour 10 there’s another similar one where the pin is closer to the front edge and slopes away after the pin.

In my notes they’re called “F#*ker 1” and “F#*ker 2”.

I just realized this. I’m no genius, but thought I’d share. If you’re using a backbone 10 that’s 1.2 rings per wind, but since this hole adds 20% wind meaning you now have 1 ring per wind with backbone 10. I’ve been doing fast math in my head all this time before :D

7 wind +20%=8.4 backbone at 8.4 wind = 7 rings.

No need anymore.

Lol.

3.5 bars backspin in neutral winds, no sidespin, aim directly at the pin. Adjust 120% in headwinds
